Household Items to Assist Families in the Shelter      

-         Laundry Detergent and Bleach

·         Paper products – toilet paper, paper towels, napkins

·         Toothpaste and Toothbrushes

·         Regular size lotion, shampoo, soap, deodorant (not trial size)

·         African American Hair Care Products

·         Soap dishes and toothbrush holders

·         Wal-mart, Target, and/or K-mart gift cards (to purchase work or school clothes, etc.)

 

Other Household Items to Assist Families When They Move

-         Grocery store gift cards

-         Wal-mart, Target and/or K-mart gift certificates (to purchase work clothes, school clothes, or other necessities)

-         Phone Cards

·         Cleaning Supplies: Liquid Disinfectant, Sink Cleanser, Toilet Bowl Cleanser, Liquid Dishwashing Soap

·         Mops, brooms, dust pans, buckets

·         Paper products – toilet paper, paper towels, napkins

·         Bath Towels and Dish Towels (new, or in good condition)

·         Sheets and Blankets (twin, full, or queen – in good condition)

·         Household goods: especially cookware, utensils, dishes, glasses, small appliances, mixing bowls, Tupperware

 

Baby Items

·         Diapers and Wipes (Sizes 2 – 5)

·         Pull-ups (Sizes 2T- 5T)

·         Receiving blankets, towels and wash cloths

·         Bottles and Bottle Brushes

·         Care products (ointments, baby wash, lotion)

·         Clothes (infant and toddler)

·         Small equipment (bouncy seats, bathing tubs, activity gyms)

 

Children’s Items

-         Coloring books and crayons or markers

-         Puzzle books (all ages)

-         Math and spelling exercise books (all elementary grades)

-         Socks and underwear (new)
